The Sea Islands of South Carol8na has a rich history of African Americans and their language. The Gullah Language is still alive and being cherished. I grew up on one of these Islands and you can still hear it weaved in an out in daily speaking. The Kuda (turtle) Chillun (children), fly in’ ‘round (courting) and many more.
These words are African origins.
Here is a Gullah proverb: “Mus tek cyear a de root fa heal de tree.” (You need to take care of the root in order to heal the tree). So, Fore-ever Arts will bring into its art collection, different scenes, pictures that may depict a Gullah Language word (s), picture from some of the Sea Islands. Edisto Island is one of them.
So, stay connected. Sign up for our email list so you will be one of the first to be notified.

The sun rises where it should and reflects whatever is in its path. This wall Art is a conversation piece and leaves one wondering how the red and blue reflections happened. Let your imagination be your guide. The sun rose over the Atlantic Ocean making its way quickly over marsh land and over a wooded pine tree yard.
